Scotty Whitehurst is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.F.A. In Theatre.  While at USM, Scotty took screenwriting and participated in numerous student films.  This led to the start of Scotty making his own films and pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

Scotty has worked professionally acting for TV and Film since 2008, acting in the movies “I Love You Phillip Morris” with superstar Jim Carrey; “Jeff, Who Lives At Home” with funny guys Jason Segal and Ed Helms; in the TV movies “Pizza My Heart” and “Campus Confidential” for ABC Family; “For One Night” for Lifetime; and “Worst. Prom. Ever.” for MTV.  Scotty is also the script supervisor for “Star Trek Continues”, one of the most acclaimed fan-produced Star Trek (TOS) webseries ever created.

Scotty is also a casting assistant for Morgan Casting having helped cast Hollywood movies “Greater”, “Blackbird”, “The Historian”, “Starve”, “Big Significant Things” and “The Sound and the Fury” with James Franco.
His theatre resume includes “High School Musical”, “The Sound of Music”, “Grease”, “Robin Hood”, “Peter Pan”, “Footloose”, “Big River”, “Lost in Yonkers”, “Shrek the musical” as Lord Farquaad and most recently “Willy Wonka the Musical” as Willy Wonka.

In 2008, Scotty began writing and directing his first feature film, “The Legend of Zelda: The Triforce Prophecy”.  Filming wrapped in 2009 with Scotty taking a six month break before he began writing and directing his second feature film, “G.I. Joe: Deception”.  “Deception” premiered in January 2013.  With Zelda fans loving his first film and pressuring him for a second, Scotty along with writer Jay Norris and producer Michael Day, began pre-production on “The Legend of Zelda: Oblivion Rising” on June 2013.
